Dear Melius Humano (Better Human),

The first 20 newsletters took me 2x-3x longer to complete.

Now I get it done them done in a fraction of the time.

I nearly forgot to send this today because I was setting up racks (and a used sauna I got for $1k) at my new office, HQ, and studio space (pics below). Time flies.

As you get better, what you produce gets better, and the time it takes you to make shrinks. This is why I'm a fan of principles and foundations. Success is found in the foundational principles of work, life, health, and happiness—the 80/20. Everything is like trying to chop down a tree with a butter knife—sure, you'll get there eventually, but that's not smart.

So now that I can knock out this newsletter in 30 minutes compared to 1-2 hours like it used to take, it's one more part of my production stack. It's also an example of how I can do sooo much compared to most people.

I realized this truth in the last few years by seeing other companies and corporate employees up close in a work setting. (Scary.) The reality is most people are not productive. Period. This is objectively true and easy to prove. It's easy to un-egotistically say that I get more done than most because I can look at precisely what I do compared to others.

Humans don't like Ego because it implies hierarchy. Hierarchy implies control. Egotistical hunter-gatherers would have been killed or exiled from the tribe. It wasn't a winning strategy. Our ancestors enforced fierce egalitarianism (fierce equality) because they knew how dangerous an egotistical individual was to the tribe's survival.

If you want to do better in life, you want to be as selfish as possible. "Self-focused" might be the better phrase. When you put yourself first, you can give your best to others.

Those that put others first are actually narcissists. It's their way of making it about themselves through the veil of altruism.

I'm extremely selfish. I give advice freely. And I help people whenever they ask as long as I can. I focus on making money to provide a great life for my family and have the resources to create other amazing things for the world. When I don't prioritize my physical or mental health by saying NO when I need to and YES when appropriate, I, paradoxically, give less.

Selfish. Guilty and proud.

On that note, everyone in the digital age must ruthlessly block, mute, and refuse to engage in negative energy online.

If someone harasses you in person, you leave. You don't give them your precious time. So why do it online?

After selling half of my company to a private equity group 2 years ago, I meandered around.

I didn’t need to do anything new, but I wanted to. I just didn’t know what.

For a while, I thought I lost my edge.

I thought what if I cant make decisions anymore?

What if I’m going to be uncertain for the rest of my life?

But that was the Universe and my intuition doing their job keeping me from getting into the wrong thing.

It sounds like a lot, and it might be, but I have a great team of great people and a crystal clear vision that has take me 18 years to get to. So I don’t think it’s too much at all; I think it’s exactly right.

The Method: Completely detach from your former self. Let go of your Ego, identity, past, bad habits, toxic relationships with people, drugs, food, propaganda, fear, politics, etc. Shed your past self and build a new self. Let go of your traumas, shame, guilt, externally enforced baggage of expectation, comparison, and victim mentality. Replace that with new thought patterns based on TRUTH and first principles thinking.
