🦾 How to be dangerous → Raise kids that can think, create, and act for themselves. Teach them how to cook, use an axe, build a fire, defend themselves, climb, tie knots, grapple, buy Bitcoin, read books, exercise, and ask a lot of questions. (And if you lack in any of these, start with yourself.)

If it says “citric acid” on the label, you’re probably supporting Big Pharma and consuming something made from black mold.
❤️ Relationships: You can’t have a functional long-term relationship built on enabling, complacency, or pretending to be someone you’re not. If you can’t fully explain who you are and what your values are, your relationship will eventually fail. Being able to talk about attraction to members of the opposite sex is paramount. Few couples do this and instead default to avoiding touchy subjects.

The Patriot Act was supposed to curb terrorism, yet it’s used to spy on US citizens more than any supposed “terrorists.”
So on and so forth.
This isn’t even the real problem with this proposed tax law. This will destroy America. Given enough time, people and money will flow elsewhere.
This is the Sovereign Individual Thesis playing out—countries need to compete to attract citizens.
And doing something stupid like this is just speeding up that process and forcing people to go elsewhere.
Where those productive billionaires go will likely end up becoming better and more desirable as they make investments in that jurisdiction. This will lead to a better standard of living which will make living there more attractive to others. So others will follow.
This is the Free Market.
The idea that governments can continually mistreat their citizens and treat them as medical experiments and tax cattle is the old paradigm dying. This doesn’t work anymore. They just haven’t figured that out. So they will keep on with their stupidity, which will, ironic to them, hasten their demise.
The problem with democracy

Voters vote for politicians that promise them things. So the political game incentivizes the individuals that will appeal to the masses with big promises, more regulation, more mingling, more dolling out of resources from one to another (coercion/theft). Over time, this leads to bureaucratic bloat, and eventually, collapse.
Because politicians have no "skin in the game"—they do not suffer any consequences if their policies fail in the real world. Over time, the system creeps towards more and more centralization, like Frankenstein, it grows with each election—FEED ME, FEED ME.
These flawed incentive structures combined with no skin in the game leads to moral hazard.
The thing most insidious about democracy is the idea that it's about freedom for all when it's only about freedom for the 51% mob rule, which results in the majority dictating how the minority are supposed to live through all the clever mechanisms of government, which are camouflaged under political rhetoric with fancy words but is all just theft—taking from one and giving to another, better known as socialism.
Democracies are a step or two from pure fascism and communism, and this gives them a much longer rope to hang themselves, which they do; it just takes a long time.
Lenin said that democracy was indispensable to socialism because he knew where democracy led and how it was the necessary bootloader to convince the public, one small step at a time, towards giving a small group of humans absolute control.
