Fellow human,
I used to fight my lack of motivation.
I’d feel guilty—like I wasn’t living life to its fullest.
Like I was wasting precious time.
Then I started saying to myself, “What’s the point of controlling your time if you don’t exercise your option to use it how you want?”
Good point, self.
I was also hard on myself anytime I ate a “cheat meal.”
I’m much less so now.
This idea of self-conflict can be an essential tool. It keeps us in check and doing things we know we should be doing.
The irony is too much rigidity makes you fragile and is likely to sabotage your long-term results.
So a bit of flex is probably a good thing, like any tall building or bridge (yes, they flex because if they were rigid, they would break under too much stress).
If you don’t give yourself some compassion and leeway from time to time, maybe you’re efforts will fail entirely when your subconscious finally cracks and gives up.
We are all different, and we all do better or worse with different doses. For some, “in moderation” is a death sentence. For others, complete abstinence might lead them to failure.
The weather is amazing outside (see the window open).
So yes, I want to be outside right now, but I also want to work and write another awesome newsletter for you.
So how do I decide?
Sometimes a little bit of both is the best option rather than a binary this or that.
So I decided to write you a shorter newsletter today. There’s a few good stuff below you can dive into if you want… or go outside and enjoy the day!
A short reminder for the day:
Don’t be so hard on yourself.
Embrace change and spontaneous.
Remember, you can always get back on whatever “plan” or “track” tomorrow.
In case you missed any of our recent newsletters, here’s the last five:

From this article: BITCOIN, BITCOINERS AND CITADELS
Royalism” is a term coined by Mencius Moldbug and discussed in his series of essays about the “patchwork” model of the world. Some of you may be familiar with his work, but I assume many are not.
In short, he discusses a future in which the world is made up of a patchwork of city states, all run like corporations, by a CEO with absolute power and accountability.
This city-state CEO is much like a monarch, but operates their domain like a business whose motive is profit. Hence the term “royalism.”
It is so extremely in line with what Bitcoiners have intuited over the past few years that I can only imagine there’s been some influence from his work. The initial draft was written before Bitcoin, but notes made afterward that Bitcoin as a monetary standard might help make a future like this possible.

From the book: The 7th Property
Barter systems are forms of direct trade while monetary systems are forms of indirect trade. Goods used in indirect trade are naturally converged upon (i.e., chosen freely through iterations of trade) because they have properties that most people want most often. Goods that maintain these properties are desired because they are most likely to present a coincidence of interest with other parties. In this sense, Money enables a system of indirect exchange.

HIV and AIDS have no scientific connection whatsoever. Zero proof. This is an example of the destructive nature of the medical cartel and what you get when you mix crony politics with crony capitalism and you get the government to write laws to favorite an entire industry.
You get people looking for things to turn into profit and using the guise that it’s to “save lives” and “protect you.”

About Me & Better Human
I’m Colin. I’m Pro-Humanity. I believe in Free Humans, Free Markets, and limited (if any) government. I’m also a CEO, Entrepreneur, Father, Podcaster, and Thinker. Read my story.
My goal is to help you opt-out of the system. To escape the Matrix that profits off your lack of flourishing. To take your health, thinking, finances, and life into your own hands. With that newfound freedom and abundance, you’ll show others how to do the same. That’s what Better Human is all about.

My thought of the day:
The people on TV that claim to run the show speak with certainty.
But they don’t have certainty.
Most of them have no actual clue how things work or what their actions do… they just do what sounds good or what is accepted by the masses.
