The importance of focus is going to be everything now. Project or business.

I'm in the process of removing myself from all the businesses I started.

I'm either handing them off completely to the team and telling them to go get it done, or I'm moving them to ice for the time being so I can focus.

This is going to become more important each day that ticks by.

You don’t necessarily have to kill everything you’ve built… just make it a “not right now.”

🛠️ One Build — The Decision Handoff

Pick one thing you already automated. A Zap, a filter, a scheduled report, whatever runs without you. Write down what it actually does: trigger, action, output. That is a rule. There is no judgment in it.
Now write down the decision you make right after that automation fires. The Zap dumps 40 leads in a sheet and you decide which three are worth a call. The report lands and you decide what to ignore. That decision is the real work.
Write the decision out as instructions, the way you would explain it to a sharp new hire. What makes one lead worth calling. What makes a line item worth flagging. What you always skip, and why.
Hand the automation's output plus those instructions to Claude with one order: apply my rules, give me a ranked short list, and tell me what you dropped and why.
Read the "what I dropped" part first. That is where you find out your rules were vaguer than you thought. Fix the instructions, not the output.
Run it for a week. The day you stop editing the short list, you have delegated a decision instead of a task. Do that once a month and in a year your judgment runs without you.

🎯 Skill — DELEGATE ONE DECISION

Spend 60 minutes writing down how you make one recurring decision. Not a task, a decision. Which email actually needs a reply today. Which lead gets the call. Which invoice gets chased. Which idea gets killed. Write the criteria, the edge cases, and the thing you always ignore on purpose.

Most people automate the fetching and keep the deciding, then wonder why AI feels like a faster clipboard. The deciding is the leverage. Hand your criteria over and make it come back with a call, not a list.

🟢 No second clean AI winner Friday. Technology was the only S&P 500 sector that closed lower, and the AI complex spent the whole session being sold.

🟢 The 10-year Treasury yield fell 2.4 basis points to 4.679%, breaking a days-long climb.
🔴 RHI −4.9%. Robert Half fell on weaker year-over-year profitability, thinner operating margins, and soft recruiting demand.
🔴 Bitcoin sat near 64,645 dollars, down roughly 25% on the year after briefly testing 60,000 dollars this month.

🌎 Other

🟢 EW +5.8%. Edwards Lifesciences jumped on strong Q2 results.
🟢 Silver +1.4% to 58.88 dollars an ounce, gold +0.4% to 4,065.90 dollars.
🔴 WTI crude −3.5% to 88.93 dollars, back under 100 as traders paused the Iran-driven rally.
🔴 SPCX −1.5%. SpaceX slipped into Starship Flight 13, which flew and splashed down but lost the booster on its landing burn.

Take (Friday 7/24 close, the last completed session): every sector rose except Technology. Nobody sold "AI" on Friday. They sold specific names on specific capex lines. That is the entire difference between running a rule and making a call.
