Friend,
I've been doing this entrepreneurship thing for 18 years.
Paying taxes and dealing with red tape and inflation along the way.
I had years where I worked to survive and others when, after 12 months of toil, I ended up in the red.
Generally, that's fine. That's the price. That's part of the risk you take. So I'm not complaining about the journey. It's been a fun, exhausting, Wild ride.
What makes me physically sick is seeing the grift... some government crony sitting in their cushy job giving away more than my lifetime contribution to this country to some foreign entity, or worse, their buddies at a news outlet or NGO.
As a US citizen, that is our money.
It is not the government's money.
The government is a vessel of distributing and managing OUR money.
Many think of it as some third-party entity that can do whatever it wants because it uses the threat of violence.
This is only because the insiders have setup a system that insulates them and gives them insane levels of control over how they allocate resources. (Not having an actual auditor or controller for spending our money is one example.)
I believe 99% of American citizens on both "sides" believe corruption should be punished, spending should be controlled and audited, and our MONEY SHOULDN'T BE LAUNDERED.
This should not be controversial.
The fact that many in the media are claiming it is is the exact sign of how captured and corrupt the system is.
Those railing the loudest against financial transparency are the first place to look to find corruption.

Are college kids getting setup for failure
I’ve been working out of a local college library. There are lots of students. They look like high schoolers to me. I guess I'm getting old at a not-so-ripe 39. (Half my life is over, basically… unless we get some hard-hitting longevity advancements in the next 40 years.)
But this post about how outdated the college curriculum and method is ideally encapsulates what’s going on: setting these kids up with a debt burden that will take them decades to pay down while teaching them absolutely nothing that will matter in the workplace in the next few years.
The speed of technological advancement and the ability to learn via X and YoTube and by actually doing so will always outpace an outdated education system. It simply cannot keep up. If it ever hopes to, it will require an entirely new approach, likely built from the ground up by demolishing the current one.
