Melius Humano,
I don't know the answer to life.
But I know a few things that aren't the answer.
And on that list is much of what is considered "normal" in modern life.
Some examples...
Eating toxic foods and drinking poison on the weekends
Staying indoors in front of screens and so afraid of the sun that you have to lather on chemical "protection."
Wearing shoes everywhere, then developing back and foot problems.
Wearing sunglasses and blocking sunlight from the eyes which is paramount to natural vitamin D production.
Sitting, lounging, or lying around for hours on end.
Told what to think, be afraid of, and judge by some paid-for talking head on a screen.
Eating processed foods from ingredients shipped worldwide and then produced in huge mega factories.
Drowning in toxins in the air, water, and buildings and EMF radiation from countless wireless and WiFi signals.
Eating food so stripped of essential nutrients that people are forced to supplement to maintain what would have been easy to if our food was local and organic.
Not having community. Rarely seeing friends and relatives. And not knowing our neighbors.
(I can't name a single neighbor in the last six places I've lived in Austin... that's 7 years! Our new place is a bit better... we know 4 names lol.)
Darwin would be the first to tell you that nature is a struggle, that life is supposed to be challenging.
Life will never be easy. But life can be meaningful and peaceful.
I just takes work and choices.
Working towards a simpler life more connected with nature is probably the way. It's at least a step in the right direction.
You can live in a big city and find nature. It just takes work.
You can move to the country and live simply. It just takes work.
You can have anything you want. It just takes work.
We already work for what we have now... The question that struck me was: Why am I working for things I don't value?
Habit? Routine? Fear of the unknown?
That's when I knew it was time for change.
It makes me sick.
I don’t blame anyone that took it, though I blame those that pressed others to take it. Complete and absolute Tyranny Nazisim disguised as being for the “greater good.”
What a load of shit.
If you read history, you know that’s what every tyrant in history uses to get their absolute contorl—the greater good.
The fact that America protects individual rights over the group is why we aren’t China. If we didn’t, we’d be China, and probably worse off, like some advanced Orwell novel. Or something like Brave New World.

My Last Year in Urban America
This is our last year living in an urban center center year-round.
Maybe we'll have a place in a city or just Airbnb anytime we want to visit.
Home will be surrounded by land, nature, water, and solitude.
No 5g towers.
No thousand WiFi signals drenching our cells. No city tap water is loaded with fluoride.
No seed oils or restaurants.
It's also a forcing function. I can focus. Simplify. Less is more. Have less crap. Do less things and do them deeper, better, more intentional.
Maybe I'll finally write a book (or finish one of the many I've started). Or perhaps I'll try working only 4 hours a day, which is a goal I've had for a while. (That might take some adapting to.)
All I know is I don't get much from modern society. I've known this for a long time, but never really questioned doing the same things everyone else is doing like live in a too big house with too many living expenses and buy too much stuff.
But since 2020, things have changed. I woke up a lot. I’ve realized a lot. I’ve looked deeper into history, which I used to think was a waste of time when I was younger. Now I understand how imperative history is to not making the mistakes of the past.
It’s funny how the liberal perspective is so pro-state now. You do realize that the American state had racist laws against minorities for years, as well as slavery laws… and yet you want to give them more power to control the lives of individuals?
It’s absolutely batshit crazy and detached from reality.
If you vote Democrat at this point, you don’t care about reality or the future of the country you and your kids will inherit.
I say that was an anarchist who hates any state bigger than it should be. City and local community governments are fine because I can leave and go where I support the rules. Instead, in America, even leave would require an exit tax. And then the federal government expects me to pay taxes on any income I make elsewhere for the rest of my life! (Yes, and we are the only country that does this).
I feel like every opporutniy I get to write I am more a Cassanda. In case you’re Greek mythology is fuzzy, here’s the story of Cassandra as told by GPT:
Cassandra, in Greek mythology, was a daughter of King Priam and Queen Hecuba of Troy. She was gifted with the power of prophecy by Apollo, but when she rejected his romantic advances, he cursed her so that no one would believe her predictions. Despite her accurate warnings, including the fall of Troy through the infamous Trojan Horse, she was ignored. Eventually, Troy fell, and Cassandra was taken as a war prize by Agamemnon. She met a tragic end, unable to escape her fate.
The thing about hyperinflation or an empire collapsing is that most people will ignore the warning signs until it’s too late. Then they suffer.
That’s how every revolution, dictator, empire collapse, adn hyper inflation scenario in history has played out. And if you think hyeprinflation is a thing of the past, look TODAY at Turkey, Argentina, Lebanon, and others. We have it lucky that we’re only being stolen from at 10%-20% a year while others are at 100%-500% a year. Insanity.
Those of us warning about these things will feel vindicated and proven right, but at what cost? The collapse of our way of life? Mass suffering, supply chain shortages, a grinding of the global ecomoy which will result in millions dead?
I genuinely hope I’m wrong. I genuinely hope we don’t have hyperinflation, even if that means my Bitcoin goes to $1,000,000 or more a coin. What’s the point of having wealth if society around you is in flames?
As the dollar slowly depreciates, I am fine with Bitcoin growing at a rate of 10%-25%-50% annually. Then maybe we can use release valves along the way as we transition to a new, better system gradually instead of all at once.
That’s what I hope for.
But maybe it’s wishful thinking. Look at how much debt/money printing the US government is doing (chart below), and with no signs of slowing down.
Every extra dollar they create makes our dollars (and paychecks) worth less.
It’s as simple, disturbing, and evil as that.
And it’s considered “normal.” 🤷🏻
It’s sad that most people are so completely and utterly clueless about how any of this works. I legitimately feel sad when I consider it.
I don’t feel superior or nobler or smarter. I don’t actually care about that. I have kids. I don’t have the luxury of hubris.
My ONLY focus is survival, health, and longevity.
I can only prepare to the best of my ability. And hopefully while doing so, help a few others do the same so they can avoid some of the immense suffering that’s in our not-so-distant future.
Money, Inflation, Life
$50 billion dollars in 60 hours.
And counting.
You cannot fathom how much money a billion is, let alone a trillion.
It's beyond our human comprehension.
In a way, I'm glad because it means we're closer to a significant shift in American politics and economics.
No matter what comes, removing the ability of a few individuals (12 at the Federal Reserve, a few at the White House, and a few hundred in Congress) to control billions of lives has to stop.
It has to stop.
The numbers don't lie. You can't look at any of the facts and not see this Truth.
But it will never stop from the inside.
Politics is nothing but a game of money and power. One side spends of bunch of each to get some more of each for a while before another group comes along and makes promises (lies) to the public by attacking the side in power and the cycle repeats.
Honestly, the system has worked well and would continue to work at an OK level if we took MONEY PRINTING out of the government's hands.
If they didn't have an endless credit card to spend on wars and all the other dumb stuff they spend on, they WOULDN'T BE ABLE TO!
They would have to be fiscally responsible. They would have to justify their spending.
Their policies and programs would have to work. They could no longer promise groups money in exchange for their vote.
They'd have to promise results and deliver them in broad daylight.
That is how government is elected by "the people
should work.
Yet we know the people have little to do with who gets power in today's America.
💭 Quote To Ponder
From the book: Broken Money
"Türkiye and Argentina, both members of the G20 nations and with a combined population of over 130 million people, have been dealing with runaway inflation in recent years.
Türkiye reached 85% year-over-year inflation in 2022 and Argentina reached well over 100% inflation in 2023.2 In the 1990s, Brazil experienced outright hyperinflation while it was the fifth most populous country in the world.
When people imagine hyperinflation, they often picture 1920s Germany or certain failed states today, but a surprisingly large number of countries went through it at one point or another during the latter half of the 20th century.
Just since the 1980s or later, people in Brazil, Argentina, Yugoslavia, Zimbabwe, Venezuela, Poland, Kazakhstan, Peru, Belarus, Bulgaria, Ukraine, Lebanon, and several other countries have experienced hyperinflation. Other countries such as Israel, Mexico, Vietnam, Ecuador, Costa Rica, and Türkiye experienced triple-digit inflation (i.e., nearly hyperinflation) within that period."
Thoughts:
Most people think we live in a "post-history" world. That's part of the comfort of living in America.
We have a built-in hubris that we're the best and things will always be great. But that was true of every great civilization in history.
And then time happened. And change happened.
Time and change are the two universal constants we will never escape.
This is not a call to be anxious or worried... unless you're not doing anything to protect yourself against the mismanagement of a small group of strangers that will make decisions to benefit themselves at your expense.
That's when you should worry: if you do nothing.
Educate yourself on the history of money and just how bad it is when governments intervene in markets 🤯, and you will figure out ways to protect yourself against their destruction.
Being healthy AF Is one way to protect yourself.
