I struggle with the guilt of not doing more.
And I already do a lot.
But I think I’m reaching that point where I finally see the 80/20 law, like really getting it intuitively.
That feeling that it’s ok to not do more if I’ve already gotten solid 20% work in.
It only took 18 damn years, but I’m dialing it back. Going slower, and being okay with it.
Trying to be anyway.
The trick is to be content with what you’ve done rather than trying to overdo it.
I think you can hinder results if you do that, just like overtraining.
If you train a muscle to the point where it will grow, more training will actually hinder growth. There’s always a point when you move from productive to unproductive.
In the case of productivity, I’m starting to see how doing MORE holds you back.
My problem is filling the time I get back.
What should I do?
Reactivate an old hobby? Do more social stuff? Travel maybe?
It’s not as easy as it sounds.
I tried reading some fiction the other day and my inner voice be like…
Wtf are you doing?
Reading?
It’s 3pm. The workday ain’t over.
There’s so much to do. We need to do it ALL TODAY.
RIGHT NOW.
GET BACK TO WORK, BIATCH!
Or something like that.

This is a new project I’ve been working on for a couple months.
My goal with this project is to build pillar pieces of content that can serve as reference resources to help dispel the great LIES of our age.
I’m not going to publish on a schedule or often. Only when a new installment needs everything. It might take a month per episode. Who knows.
This is the opposite of how I’ve approached any project, so I think it’s right. I’m doing it because it should exist, and because it interests me. That’s it.

With as much Bitcoin studying as I’ve done, I still feel the urge to invest in stocks.
I think there is simply so much damn pro-stock propaganda, that it’s still bouncing around my subconscious.
I own more Bitcoin than anything else, but I’m not yet decided on my allocation to other assets.

As much as I like real estate, or owning a home, it’s the perfect example—it owns you more than you own it.
There are obvious and not-so-obvious costs to EVERYTHING.
This is why minimalism can be so powerful. You cut out so many of these hidden costs by not continually adding shit to your life.

Airplane mode to get off annoying calls: If you’re stuck on an annoying call, put your phone on airplane mode instead of just hanging up. The other person will see “call failed” instead of “call ended.” And to make it less obvious, disconnect while you're the one talking.
