Better Human - March 6
The Antifragile Individual, Sunken Costs, Top 5 Regrets of The Dying, Bitcoin
Friend,
Thank you for last week’s replies. I’m still sorting through them all, but I love getting other’s perspectives.
It’s too easy to fall into our own bias and forget the water we are swimming in is unlike the water others swim in.
After 2 weeks of frantically looking for a new home, we moved in Yesterday.
And just as I guessed: I like this house wayyyy better than the last.
Obstacles are opportunities…
If you think properly and act properly to use them as such.
A few ways to do this is to focus on gratitude, negative visualization, and what is within your control.
Also, when you TRULY realize that everything is an opinion, not a fact, and everything is a perspective, not the truth, as Marcus Aurelius said, you get the ultimate agency to control your reality to exactly what you want.
I’m not saying this comes easy or cheap.
It’s really hard, and it’s ongoing.
But life is hard, and ongoing, so….
So you may as well develop strategies to create the life you want rather than opting for what others have told you to do.
As those of you that are reading may start noticing, I changed the name of the course I’ve been working on these past few months.
The Better Mind wasn’t descriptive enough. To me, it’s obvious, and I like it, but to potential students, it’s too vague, too broad.
So I’m doubling down on my focus.
I did two things.
I created two programs.
The first is a high-ticket group cohort program for entrepreneurs and high performers.
This will be live group training (Zoom and Telegram) and super hands-on and focused on mindset, systems, automation, wealth creation and preservation, and becoming an antifragile entrepreneur. If this interests you, reply to this email as that’s the only way to learn more and enroll. This program is called The Antifragile Entrepreneur.
The second is a course called The Antifragile Individual.
This is what I’ve rolled The Better Mind course into while expanding it to include health, wealth, and physical security.
In 2020 I went into prepper mode. I won’t expand on that here—if you want to read more, check out this piece.
The other day I posted an article called, “Congress Just Passed a Bill To Steal From You and Millions of Americans Will Celebrate It.”
I received a bunch of feedback and questions after posting it to my Instagram.
So I started to think about the times I write or think about human sovereignty and freedom—especially Bitcoin, which I’m super excited to talk about and promote.
Watching people for years, I now believe that 99% of people have all the skills and intelligence they need to DO ANYTHING.
But 99% never reach their potential. Most end up a product of their environment with little control or say in the matter. So they just wake up and do the same things over and over.
Sometimes, it’s because someone hasn't shown them what's possible, so they don't even consider that maybe they could do something great. So they don't try.
Maybe they have no mentors or haven’t uncovered the wonderful world of podcasts, books, and other amazing content that’s free and available at their fingertips.
I constantly think about the Top 5 Regrets of The Dying. It’s a book and article about the regrets of the elderly near the end of their lives.
And one of the most common regrets is, “I wish I would have lived a life for myself instead of others.”
Imagine you’re 80, and you can’t go back. There is no restart button. There are no do-overs.
You remember all the times you told yourself, “Someday.”
“Someday” is a road to a town called “nowhere.” Tony Robbins said something like that.
This is just tragic to me every single time I think or write about it.
And it’s why I’m on a mission to help as many people as possible take control of their minds and lives so they can be shining examples for others to follow.
If either of these is of interest, let me know by replying to this email. You can join the course immediately here: iamAntifragile.com
Now on to this week’s newsletter…

Something I Improved This Week
Happiness
I’ve been thinking about happiness lately.
When it pops into my mind, it reminds me to be in the moment—to notice something, to laugh, to smile, to be here right now.
Happiness, I think, is the now.
We confuse pleasure for happiness, but they are not the same thing.
And constantly seeking pleasure is a sure-fire way to make yourself unhappy.
I love pleasure, sure. I seek it, sure.
But I also do my best to seek what’s hard. To embrace struggle and grow and learn and do hard things and build hard things and move my body in hard ways.
And to be as much in the moment, whether that’s a pleasurable moment or a hard moment, as possible.
Something I Enjoyed This Week
This series by Robert Breedlove and Michael Saylor
This is far more than an education on Bitcoin. It’s an education in history, philosophy, science, and the answer to the question: What is money?
After finishing this series, I went from a 15% allocation of my wealth to Bitcoin to a 75% allocation.
Seriously.
Start at episode 1 and go to 9.
Thank me later.
Something I've Been Thinking About
Sunken cost
I don’t care about the past.
In many ways, I don’t even believe in it.
The sunk cost fallacy keeps most humans stuck.
The idea that you are your past is BOLLOX.
The idea that you have to keep doing this thing because you started it or you said yes or your parents want you to or whatever is COMPLETE AND UTTER HORSESHIT.
I know, strong words.
I’m doing my best to communicate to you how important this concept is and how dangerous.
You live in a constantly-changing Universe, yet you try to stay static so you can remove uncertainty in your life.
But all you do is create fragility.
The more you try to control things outside of your control, the weaker you become to things you can’t even fathom yet.
Sunken cost makes you EVEN MORE fragile because you are trying to resist natural law.
When you fight nature, you lose.
Every. Single. Time.
If you hate your job, but you’ve convinced yourself you should suffer because you have student debt, QUIT!
That’s such a stupid reason.
Your life and time are the only things that matter. Everything else is just air.
If you stay in a toxic relationship because of co-dependency issues and your fear of being alone, GET THE FK OUT NOW!
I know someone whose best friend was murdered by her boyfriend (he then killed himself). And yes, the warning signs were there yet she kept going back to him in spite of the constant threats and abuse.
Don’t be the turkey.
The turkey believes the farmer loves him because the farmer feeds the turkey every day.
And that narrative is propped up until thanksgiving.
Get what I’m saying?
It all is fine until it’s not. And going from fine to the worst can happen in an instant.
If you don’t make changes you KNOW you need to make, you will pay one or more costs. That’s how sunken costs end up being like quicksand, pulling you down more and faster with each passing day.
The past and the future don’t exist.
All you have is NOW.
So the question is: What’s the best decision right now based on where you are at right now?
Not where you were yesterday. Not where you might be tomorrow.
Now.
There is nothing else.
