👋 Hey, Colin here! Welcome to this week’s ✨ Better Human Newsletter ✨. Each week, I send 2x highly useful emails full of actionable content, recommended articles, books, podcasts, quotes, and more. Anything useful in making you a Better Human.

Better Humans,

You can have anything you want in life if you do what's necessary.

So the only question to ask yourself is not what you want, but what am I willing to do?

Most people don’t really want what they want because they don’t want to do what’s necessary to get it.

So they lie to themselves. They tell themselves they want this or that while believing that just wanting it is going to manifest it. It’s an illusion.

And the world very much runs on illusions detached from reality.

The few that understand Truth and are awake are doing the hard work. They are making things happen.

It’s fine if you don’t want to work too hard, but at least be honest with yourself about that rather than live with a lie.

-Colin

Max Truth is the foundational Truth of human existence that everything is up to the individual. Every thought, feeling, action. Every result. Every good thing, bad thing, average thing. Every second of boredom, pain, struggle, and bliss. It’s all the sole responsibility and discretion of the experiencing consciousness. Nothing exists outside of this limited consciousness because existence itself only exists through the interoperation of the consciousness.

📕 Book Notes 📕

Bitcoin: 21 Million Divided By Everything

People all over the globe are changing their ways at a very rapid pace, waking up to this new reality. They’re seeing this emergent phenomenon for what it is — the emancipation of humankind. An idea whose time has come. The most unstoppable force there is. An abstract concept that will change everything about you. An agreement between people that connects time, morality, and information. It will affect you in ways you can’t even imagine. This book will try to help you understand why and how.

Svanholm, Knut. Bitcoin: Everything divided by 21 million (p. 14). Konsensus Network. Kindle Edition.

Absolute mathematical scarcity was a discovery. Not an invention. This realization is key to understanding bitcoin. The moment you realize what this implies, there’s no going back. It is an epiphany. It is what "falling down the rabbit hole" means. One day, someone might suggest an "upgrade" of the protocol that proposes to increase the limit. Anything that would change bitcoin’s monetary policy would be detrimental to the project. Almost every node owner knows this. This is why changes to bitcoin’s monetary policy can’t happen. Sure, bitcoin forks into clones of the real deal every now and then, but these copycats aren’t bitcoin. They’re not even close. Satoshi named the bitcoin blockchain the timechain in many of his notes. Calling it this is an excellent way to separate the real deal from copycats. There’s the timechain, and then there are other blockchains. One matters. The others don’t.

Svanholm, Knut. Bitcoin: Everything divided by 21 million (p. 24). Konsensus Network. Kindle Edition.

So first and foremost, such an element would have to be stable. An unstable isotope wouldn’t suffice. Resistance to change is crucial for an element aspiring to function as a store of value. Moreover, our new element would have to be portable and divisible. Portability and divisibility are two sides of the same coin (pun intended). This implies that our imaginary addition to the periodic table would need to weigh as little as possible. It would also have to be uniform or fungible. Furthermore, it must have a limited supply; the total amount of the element would have to be finite. If we could find such an element, people would accept it as payment for goods and services. It would live up to all the criteria needed to become a type of money. Because gold is one of the two known stable, non-radioactive, non-toxic, mononucleic noble metals, it satisfies the essential characteristics of money. The fact that the free market discovered gold as an excellent form of money is quite remarkable. People participating in the free market 5000 years ago knew nothing about chemistry. Neither were they aware of praxeology or even the number zero. Let alone quantum mechanics and theories about a possible multiverse. Yet, the market chose a truthful form of money. The free market somehow knew what money had to be and do. Gold has a downside, though — its weight. Despite its excellent monetary properties, it is not that easy to transport. Gold is, at its core, nothing but a dumb shiny rock, but dumb nonetheless. Too heavy to transport easily.

The most important book ever written

I’m leaving this here because it’s that important.

Have you read this yet?

I recommend Audible because the voice narration is excellent.

Might be one of the most important books ever written, especially today.

The “drifters” in society explain everything that’s going on today… and this was written in 1938!

This was recommended at our mastermind Wednesday night. By Thursday night, I had read half of it. By Friday, I’m almost done. Audible is key and listening every chance you get—doing dishes, taking a walk, driving, changing your clothes, brushing your teeth, etc., and using 2x speed.

I implore you, right now, today, to BUY THIS BOOK AND START READING IT. And do not stop before you get to the Devil part.
